Background
Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), one of the world’s largest animal charities based in the USA, is dedicated to safeguarding species and habitats globally.
The Task
In 2020, WCS sought to enhance the skills of its leadership team and senior partners in Southeast Asia. The objectives included:
- Values-based Leadership and Supervision
- Strategic and Operational Planning
- Emotional Intelligence
- Change Management
- Strategic Problem-solving and Decision-making
The goal was to bolster capacity and capability in an area facing significant threats.
Our Approach
United Outcomes collaborated closely with WCS over three months to analyse individual profiles, team dynamics, and associated data. Together, we developed a tailored leadership development program encompassing:
- Online and Face-to-Face Delivery: Leadership models, emotional intelligence theories, scenario-based activities, coaching, mentoring, and assessments.
- Experiential Learning: Utilising Kolb’s experiential learning cycle to ensure practical application and skill development.
- Diagnostics: Conducted SWOT analysis and self-evaluation using Johari’s Window principles to personalise the learning journey.
Outputs, Outcomes, and Impact
United Outcomes closely collaborated with us to diagnose our leadership challenges and crafted a flexible learning and development model that has already delivered tangible rewards. Alan and Rob’s leadership and training expertise were evident throughout, and participant feedback on the program has been outstanding.
